Question #1:

Is what is called "albacore tuna" actually dolphin?

I know that this sounds like a stupid question, but somehow, my Mom seems to think the albacore tuna is actually dolphin. I just find that hard to believe. It says "tuna" right on the can. I know that there is such a thing as false advertising, and I know that sometimes, whatever people catch, they just chop up and can, but is what they claim to be albacore tuna actually dolphin? I would feel awful if it was. What does "albacore" mean anyway?

Question #2:

Question #3:

Refusing a refund on eBay?

I am pretty new to eBay so if this is a dumb question I apologize.

I recently sold an Air soft gun to someone over eBay. It was practically brand new. When he received it, a critical part failed (apparently the hinge to the battery cover "snapped off" the first time he opened it to put the battery in place), but it did fail in his possession, and under his operation. He claims however that I falsely advertised it as newer than it actually was (I had stated in my listing that the gun had less than 300 BB's cycled through it, which was true). He asked me for a refund, I refused, telling him the gun failed in his possession. If I was to accept the return, I would pretty much be getting a piece of junk it sounds like. It is specified in the listing that there are no returns for this item. Also, it was a sale, not an auction if it matters.

So, was I within my rights to refuse a refund?

Also, if he deputes, is there any chance I will lose?

Question #4:

Question #6:

Why is it, that when you seek a "free" service, e.g. www.mycleanpc.com they want a fee for doing what they adv?

www.mycleanpc.com advertises a "free" PC clean up so that your computer will run faster and better. However when you initialize this program it ends up charging you a fee. I found this in most advertised programs. Evidentially, the word "free" as defined by Webster has a totally different meaning to these advertisements.

Question #9:

Anyone remember the old commercials on cable advertising HBO with a scary creature talking?

When I was about 3 or 4 (so 1987ish) I remember seeing commercials on some cable channel advertising to get people to sign up for HBO. I was so terrified of the character in these commercials that I would not stay in the living room alone for fear that one of those commercials would come on and he would get me. I sort of remember him as being a tall, green, scaly thing, possibly wearing a tan trench coat. But then again, these memories are at least 20 years old so I could be wrong. Any idea who/what this was? If I saw a picture I MIGHT recognize him.

Question #13:

Are any of you experiencing real life reception problems with your iPhone 4?

It seems to me that the only people experiencing the "death grip" are the people who are trying to block the antenna. Do any of you actually speak on the phone with it tightly squeezed into your palm? I know that I don't. I can't get my iPhone 4 to lose signal even when I hold it as the "death grip" is described. Although I have seen the signal drop from 4 bars down to 3 on a couple occasions when I was trying to make it happen. As far as using the phone and all of the phones features I haven't experienced any real life issues. Even when I tried to make it lose signal it was not even close to being as bad as everyone is trying (& doing quite a good job at it) to make it look. This is just my opinion, but I think that ever since the original iPhone came out it's competition has been waiting for Apple to slip up. Now they turned a small issue into this enormous "antenna gate" fiasco. In terms of business & advertising Android has done a good job at drilling the iPhone 4. But I think that the reason this issue has stayed around so long is because Apples competition(Android, RIM, etc.) knows that the iPhone 4 is & will continue to be a superior device into the foreseeable future. No, I'm not an "iPhone fanboy", I'm just I guy who wants a device that fits my needs best, which in this case happens to be the iPhone 4. I actually started out with android devices such as androids 1st phone the G1 up to the Droid Incredible, but I gotta say that unless my iPhones so called "antenna problem" isn't as bad as that of other iPhone 4 users, than the competition better keep hyping up "antenna gate", because if they don't the iPhone is gonna continue just rolling right over the top of them. So, other than when your trying to make your iPhone 4 drop signal, do you experience any problems in real life use?

Question #14:

Why Are Chiropractors often Criticized For Doing the Same things that Every Health Care Profession Does?

I am a chiropractic student and I understand that my field has problems, such as the claims that vertebral subluxations exist or that applied kinesiology is useful in anyway. However, what I don’t understand is why chiropractors are often criticized (usually by other health care professionals) for things that every other health care field do too.

Every other health care field employs treatments that are pretty much useless also. For example, some psychologists still use psychodynamic therapy techniques which have never been shown to be useful, yet no one seems to make a fuss about it.

Chiropractors are criticized for advertising their businesses, yet every dentist, optometrist, and hospital out there has ads in the newspaper and on billboards too.

Chiropractors are criticized for selling things like vitamins and supplements for more than they paid for them, yet it is ok for a hospital to charge someone $15 for an aspirin?

Chiros are criticized for having too many people practicing in the field, yet there are 10x as many dentists and 13x as many medical doctors in the U.S.

So why does it seem that chiropractors are often held to higher standards than every other health care field in the U.S.?
